Join us on August 22nd for a workshop on designing and establishing riparian buffers while creating beautiful, resilient landscapes. Whether you own riverfront property, manage municipal land, or simply want to learn more about how these landscapes protect our waterways, this workshop will give you  guidance you can apply at home or in your community.

Field Demonstration: We'll visit an established riparian buffer to see how native plantings mature over time and discuss lessons learned from installation and maintenance.

Free Trees: To encourage more riparian plantings throughout our communities, attendees will receive free native trees and shrubs (while supplies last) to begin their own buffer projects.

All volunteers must sign a waiver form. Printed copies of the waiver form will be available at the event for participants to fill out in-person.

Parking is located on the right once you get up to the main campus area. It is about 1/4 mile of a walk (5-10 minutes) from the parking lot.

Bathroom Facilities: There is a pit toilet on the hill across from the sap house, there are no indoor facilities at the sap house. 

Garbage: Merck is a "Pack in/Pack out" facility and does not have garbage cans available
