No Till Drill

A no-till drill is a specialized seeding machine that plants seeds directly into existing vegetation or residue without disturbing the soil through traditional tillage. Using sharp openers, the drill cuts a narrow slit in the ground, places seed at the correct depth, and closes the slit in one efficient pass.
No-till drills offer significant benefits, especially in Vermont’s landscape. By minimizing soil disturbance, they help protect fragile soils on the region’s many slopes, reducing erosion during heavy rains and spring snowmelt. They also improve soil structure, increase organic matter, and enhance water infiltration—key advantages for Vermont farmers facing wetter, less predictable weather patterns. For those establishing cover crops or renovating pastures, a no-till drill makes the job faster, more precise, and more successful, while supporting long-term soil health across the state’s working lands.
Transportatio is available. Prior to renting the no till drill you will need to attend a training. A trainer from our staff will help you calibrate the drill for your needs on site and ensure you have what you need to operate it properly. A tractor is required. The connection style is a standard towing hitch.
