These Trees have been in the ground here for about five years, but were already two to three years old when they were planted. they are healthy and growing quickly.

Here are the old growth trees. These are the trees that Phil planted when he arrived here. They were planted in 1956 and are now fifty feet tall or higher.

This is a picture of the field that Phil Viereck has kept open all these years. The tilled land is the four acre spot where the Johnsons will plant corn. In the background you can see the hardwood forest dominated by sugar maple trees.
